2007年底,蒙牛广告部门一位相关负责人找到互联网广告代理商好耶,与之商谈2008年的合作,希望通过好耶在数家门户网站上投放广告。让这位负责人始料不及的是,国内各大门户网站的广告价格均比去年提高了20%-30%。
2008年1月4日,华尔街传出消息称,包括新浪在内的国内互联网媒体广告价格将上涨,其中新浪的上涨幅度将达到30%。华尔街分析人士预期,新浪等公司广告价格上涨,必将带来收益上涨。受此利好消息的刺激,新浪股价当天大涨7.96%。
1月8日,新浪副总裁杜红、搜狐副总载王昕接受本报记者采访时,均肯定了上述消息。
美国投资银行分析师Piper Jaffray已经把新浪股票的评级由"中性"上调至"买入"。分析师在报告中称,广告价格提升对于新浪的发展非常重要,因为该公司品牌广告营收的增长有一半源于广告价格提升。另外,北京奥运也将增加其收入。
但一位分析人士却告诉记者,华尔街只看到了表象,没有看到涨价的真正原因。他认为,主要原因是新媒体广告的代理行业发生了洗牌重组:分众、WPP大规模收购新媒体广告代理公司,已经控制了新媒体广告总量的70%。
此分析人士认为:强势的分众、WPP要求新浪等新媒体降低广告折扣,新媒体为了维持营收规模与利润空间,只能提价。
